Birthday - Explosion Card for him

Happy Birthday... It's Your Day

Hi Crafters,

Today I am here with you to present my latest creation which I made for one of my dear client. This is an exploding box card which is a birthday cum love gift from a wife to her husband. This card is one of the best handmade gift which can be given to your better half or loved one to express your feelings towards them.

The basic procedure of making this card is already uploaded in previous blog post. However this card has some twist and techniques which are unique and I will share those with you all in this post.

Here is my Birthday Explosion Box card:

Twist 1 - Shaker Card:

Step 1: Take two circle metal die as shown in below picture and cut 3-4 die cuts from them.

Step 2: Also carve out a pattern paper in the shape of circle as shown in picture with the help of circle die. I also used Mudra stamps for designing different layer of explosion box card.The stamp I used to design this card are shown in below picture.

Step 3: Place a Transparent sheet on the front part of dies cut in Step 1 and then place pattern paper cut in step 2 at the bottom part. Before placing the pattern paper also place some flower pearls as shown in above picture.

Twist 2 - Cake with 3D effects

Step 1: Make strips of ivory sheet and emboss them with embossing folder.

Step 2: Fold the strips in circle and glue them and layer them up as shown in picture.

Step 3: Distress them with purple ink. For decoration of cake I used embossed texture paste which appeared as icing for the cake. For a beautiful effect I used heat gun over the Paste to give it a beautiful 3-D effect. This product gave the cake a natural effect and was looking like a real cake. I loved this product and would recommend to use for 3-D effects. I finished this cake with beautiful curly pink flower on the top and sparkling dust.
